Harleysville Soccer Days 2008

Soccer Day is designed so that our younger and older players each receive the recognition they deserve and you can enjoy spending the day with your children without the need to run back and forth for each child's games. Nearly 1100 players on 87 teams will participate in this event devoted to showcasing the talents of all our players and teams in the Intramural Program. The kids have worked hard all season and we want to applaud their achievements

For our U6 & U8 players -- Saturday, September 6th, 2008 - Cancelled

For our U10, U12 & U15 players -- Sunday September 14

Festivities begin by 8:00 AM and will continue throughout the day. The closing event will be the much anticipated Coaches versus Kids Game on 9/14!

There will be a concession area available with menu items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, beverages, soft pretzels and more. We look forward to an exciting day for all of our players, their families and our coaches.

Bring your used soccer uniforms and equipment to benefit children in Haiti and Liberia. Collection bins will be set up by the concession stands on both days.

Attention junior high age kids and older - volunteering on soccer day is a great way to gather some volunteer hours for school or scouting organizations - volunteer letters will be available.

All players must wear their uniform and shin guards. U-16, U-8 and U-6 League events will be held at the the Indian Valley Middle School fields. All other league events will be held at the Community Center field

Don't forget to sign up to help staff the snack stand, scorekeeping table and more. Help be a part of your child's big day by volunteering! Contact Renee Sullivan to volunteer .

Help us take care of our equipment so it lasts for years to come! Please stay after your last game on 9/14 to help take down nets and store the goals.

Please be considerate of neighbors by not parking on grass or other posted no-parking areas
on or near the Indian Valley Middle School or Harleysville Community Center, including the lot at Peter Becker Homes and the street at Kulp and Gruber Roads ***

COACHES: Be sure to have your team together at the designated field in time for each game. All games need to begin on-time to stay on schedule throughout the day. Any team that is not ready to play at its designated match time risks forfeiting that game.
