INTRAMURAL

-A program designed to introduce young players to the sport.  Emphasis is on teaching technical skills and knowledge of the game in ways that are fun for the children.

-Training and games are based on the physical and mental development of the players using the small-sided games model (link to small-sided games – US Youth Soccer cover & FAQs).

-Games:  Played in-house (i.e. against teams within the club.)

-Ages:  4 thru 11 (as of July 31st) may participate.

RECREATIONAL

-An intramural program designed to continue young players’ love of the sport.  Emphasis on refining technical abilities and teaching tactical skills. 

-Games include both in-house and those played with a    neighboring soccer club.

-Players aged 12 thru 15 (as of July 31st) may participate.

INTERCOMMUNITY

-An intramural program which is designed to continue young players’ love of the sport.  Emphasis is on refining technical abilities and teaching tactical skills. 

-All Games are played with neighboring soccer clubs.

-Players aged 14 thru 18 (as of July 31st) may participate.

INTRA/REC SELECT

-Intramural teams formed to play in post-season (Fall) intramural and recreational tournaments.

-Players are selected based on their willingness to participate, the age groups of teams being formed, coaches’ recommendations of players and the availability of coaching volunteers.  Participants must be currently registered intramural or recreational players with Harleysville Soccer.

-Selected players must commit to staying with their teams for the entire rec tournament season.

-Two to four local tournaments are generally offered.  Participation fees apply.

-Players aged 8 thru 15 (as of July 31st) may participate.  Application to the program must be made to the Program Director.

TOPSoccer

-An intramural program which is designed to introduce young players with physical and/or learning disabilities to the sport.  Emphasis is on teaching technical skills and knowledge of the game in ways that are fun for the children.  The program is tailored to each child’s special abilities with a commitment to player safety. 

-Training and games are based on the physical and mental development of the players using the small-sided games model (link to small-sided games).  -All games are in-house (i.e. played against teams within the club.)

-Players aged 4 thru 19 (as of July 31st) may participate. Application to the program must be made to the Program Director.
