When and where do we register for Harleysville Soccer?
Harleysville Soccer has a registration period in the spring of each year. We typically offer both online and in-person registration options. For specific information, please refer to our Registration page.
What are the registration fees?
For 2009 the fees are as follows, per family:
1 child - $85
2 children - $145
3+ children - $205
All registration fees are spent entirely on the children’s soccer programs. The Intramural program has no paid employees and is run solely by volunteers within the club.
Where do I send my registration payment?
You can pay by credit card when using our online registration system. Alternatively, you can mail your payment (along with a copy of your registration confirmation) to:
Harleysville Soccer
P.O. Box 127
Harleysville, PA 19438
Cash and checks are accepted at walk-up registration events.
Where do I send the copy of my child’s Proof of Age?
Parents/guardians of new players need to present a legal form of identification to verify the age of the child(ren) being registered. Acceptable forms of ID are Birth Certificate, Passport, or Driver’s License. Please bring the ID with you when registering in person, or mail a COPY of the ID to the following address:
Harleysville Soccer – Proof of Age
P.O. Box 127
Harleysville, PA 19438
Originals are NOT required and should NOT be sent.
Once we receive the Proof of Age, we will update our database and destroy/delete those documents submitted by mail or email. Harleysville Soccer will not retain copies.
What are the benefits to registering online?
Online registration is quick, secure, and convenient. You can avoid waiting in line to sign up your child. It’s available 24/7 to fit your busy schedule. The secured web site ensure a safe and secure transaction where your payment and personal information is kept confidential. You will have the option to pay by VISA, MasterCard, or personal check. The system is available to both new and returning players. Please check our Registration page for more details.
Why do you need my e-mail address?
Our club uses e-mail to quickly reach player families with important information about the soccer program, including changes to schedules.
If you decide not to include your e-mail address when registering, you may miss important updates from the club, or not receive club communications in a timely manner.
I’m not sure my online registration went through. How can I find out?
What happens if I miss registration? Will it be too late to sign up?
Please contact the Intramural Program Director at
Intramural@HarleysvilleSoccer.org to inquire about registration availability. If space is still available, your child may sign up but a $15 late fee will be assessed (in addition to the standard registration fees).
What happens if my child doesn’t make a Travel team?
Our Travel program is very competitive and only a limited number of player slots are available. If your child does not make the Travel team, he or she is encouraged to sign up for our Intramural teams. Slots will be reserved in the Intramural Program for applicants not selected for Travel teams, and a late fee will not be applied to your registration. Please contact the Intramural Program Director at
Intramural@HarleysvilleSoccer.org for more information.
My child wants to be on a friend’s team, or on a certain coach’s team. Who do I let know?
Club personnel form each team based on player age, gender, and skill level to ensure that teams will be well balanced against each other. We cannot honor requests to pair individual players together, or to put a player on a desired coach’s team. The only exception is for the children of coaches, who are automatically assigned to the team coached by their parents. We believe this approach also benefits our players by giving them more opportunities to meet new friends and to learn from a variety of coaches as they move through the program.
My child needs to carpool with a neighbor. How can I get them on the same team?
We do not honor requests to assign players to the same team because of carpooling. Parents are responsible for making these arrangements. Please note, however, that our playing fields are located close to each other; getting players from different teams to their practice fields should not be difficult. Additionally, our coaches remain with the children until each is picked up by his parent or guardian.
How do I know what league to register for?
Our registration system will automatically assign your child to his/her respective league based on age and gender. The age brackets are as follows:
League Age Range
U6 4 to 6 years old
U8 7 to 8 years old
U10 9 to 10 years old
U12 11 to 12 years old
U15 13 to 15 years old
U18 16 to 18 years old
I need to switch the nights of play I signed my child up for. How do I do this?
Only players in the U8 Coed League may request changing nights of play. Requests must be made to the Intramural Program Director at
Intramural@HarleysvilleSoccer.org no later than 5/31.
I need to cancel my child’s registration. How do I do this and do I get a refund?
Requests to withdraw must be made to the Intramural Program Director at
Intramural@HarleysvilleSoccer.org. A full refund will be given for requests made by 5/31. No refunds will be given for requests made after 6/30. Refund checks will be mailed within 3-4 weeks.
My child is trying out for Travel soccer. Are you sure I don’t need to register at this time? I don’t want to pay a late fee.
Please do not register your child if he or she is trying out for the Travel program.
- If your child is selected for a Travel team, you will pay the registration fee (applicable to both Travel and Intramural programs) plus costs associated with playing Travel ball.
- If your child is not selected to a team or decides he or she doesn’t want to play Travel, you can then register for the Intramural program and no late charge will assessed. To sign up for the Intramural program, contact the Intramural Program Director at Intramural@HarleysvilleSoccer.org before June 15th. You will then be required to pay the normal registration fee.
Please note that Intramural only players (i.e., those players not trying out for a Travel team) must register before May 31st to avoid the late fee.
